Week 2 - Devlog 2 - Game is starting to get into shape


Hi!

This week we've finally started the development of the game itself. We've finally have a scene where the room of the main character is depicted. We are overall happy with the design of the room, however take note that the sprite is a placeholder for the design idea that we have of the main character.

We also have a working dialogue system, movement and scene transitions. We have the basis to start developing the story itself.

Hello! This week I mainly focused on having a working game state manager and a functional dialogue system. I also worked on implementing the Dream Reality scenes. Now the player is able to move between these scenes effortlessly and solve the puzzles by interacting between these two. I'm happy with how things turned out and I'm looking forward to develop the story!

Sara

Hi! In the first half of this week, I finished the main character's design and added a whole new scene to the game. Now the house is a little bit more composed, it has a brand new kitchen and living room! On the second half, I worked on the implementation of scene transitions between room divisions and worked on fixing collisions.

Miguel

I worked on collisions, the inventory system and items, and also the design document. Plus i messed with character movement and animations to gain some experience.
